I think I'm going to have to give it up. I love Geena Davis to bits, totally awesome in every way, but I really can't stand Mackenzie Allen. Her politics make me want to start a revolution. I suppose I should just ignore the neo-imperialist throwbacks to Munro Doctrine, and concentrate in the character dynamics, which are very entertaining, but well... I'm a Global Studies student. I'm also a psychology student, so certain stances of drugs don't make a lot of sense either.
It's really too bad. They could have done the woman in power issues, and the family issues while still maintaining vaguely realistic politics. That would have been a wonderful show. Instead they, like President Allen, just do whatever the hell they want regardless of the consequences.
