muccamukkA couple of weeks ago, I went on a tear about how there simply is NO good crossover fiction out there. I didn't mention it at the time, but I was specifically looking for a decent Sentinel/Stargate crossover. A bunny had bitten me, and finding that someone else has already written it is one of the best ways to kill the damn thing. Sadly, though there are some readable TS/SG1 stories out there, none of them really grabbed me, and the number of truly hideous ones was starting to depress me. Then I found this.

Author's Notes: Daniel goes looking for peace in the aftermath of "Absolute Power" and "The Light." Unfortunately, he goes looking for it in The Most Dangerous City in America. A Sentinel/Stargate crossover, gen, around 300k.
This is not at all the story that I was thinking of and it certainly hasn't killed thefucking waskally rabbit. However, all the characters are wonderfully in character and interact perfectly, and the plot is gripping, dramatic and at times hilarious (contains one of the funniest uses of juxtaposition that I have ever encountered).
Martha's other work is also well worth a look, she writes mostly horror and it honestly scares the daylights out of me. -shivers-

I just realised that this post is probably a near total waste time because there is only one person on my flist who reads either of those fandoms. Oh well, keeps my amused.
