Stargate: Continuum

So this is essentially one of those Alternate Time Line Episodes, only with icebergs. Which is fine, though I do wish there'd been more Claudia Black in this one.
I'm an angst fan, so the idea of the year apart, and poor Daniel with no leg calling himself in the middle of the night, and Sam not getting to do science, and Cam and his whole family not existing, all while Jack is happy at home with his family, APPEALS TO ME GREATLY! How much do you want to be that at some point in that year Charlie O'Neill got seriously stalked by one or more of SG-1? I am glad that they didn't go over the top and make Jack choose between saving the world and his son. I thought they might, and am relived that they did not. Poor man's been through enough without that, even if he doesn't remember it.
I really liked how the response to the invasion worked out, like they had this plan just to redo the season seven final, but then had to keep improvising. It never felt improbable to me, and it really kept the plot moving. Also, Daniel got to speak Russian.
What happened to Mitchell after he saved the ship? Aside from the obvious crossovers with Indiana Jones, The Mummy, Carnivale, Sky Captain the the World of Tomorrow, and other '30s and '40s fandoms that I never could seem to do much with?
DON S. DAVIS! -cries-
That's all I got for now, possibly more later.
