Looks like AvX is winding down, which I think will signal the great creator shuffle of 2012. I'm very interested to see who will be writing what next month. Also if they'll have another Event right away or not. Maybe we'll get a break.
Spider-Men #5 (of 5) - How will the amazing Spider-Man get back to his own reality? What will both Spider-Men due now that they know they’re not alone in the universe? Will Peter Parker give Miles Morales his blessing?
I really enjoyed the first of these. The art is fantastic, and Peter, for all his whinging, it light and fun. I'm looking forward to the team up part. It doesn't seem to worry overly about any of the other continuity, so you could probably read it with minimal interduction.
Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #14 - The first-ever Ultimates/Ultimate Spider-Man team up! With the nation at war, Miles Morales decides to become a member of the Ultimates and he will do anything it takes to earn the right.
I assume the Nation At War thing has to do with whatever's going on with Ults Ults, which seems to have changed writers again. I may try it now that Hickman's off.
Captain America & Black Widow #636 & 637 - Captain America and the Black Widow are on a deadly collision course! Crosshairs are trained on Cap! Kashmir Venemma dies! At least twice! Guest-starring Hawkeye, Iron Man, and Dr. Doom (?)
Francesco Francavilla! This book hit the artist jackpot, and it has Doctor Doom (apparently?). I'm so, so looking forward to this.
Captain Marvel #4 - Witness Blazing Battlefield Action as Captain Marvel finds herself in the middle of all out war.
I'm up for Blazing Battlefield Action staring Carol. Not too sure about that cover though.
Daredevil #18 - The debut of a new menace in New York – the killer called Coyote! And just how sane IS Matt Murdock?
We've been pretty sure that Matt's not notably sane for a few years now. I do need to catch up with this title.
Hawkeye #2 - What you need to know: Fraction. Aja. Hawkeye. Kate Bishop. Cars. Guns. Stealing from the rich never looked so good.
This book looks like a remarkable amount of fun. I've like Fraction writing Clint and Kate before, and I'm interested to see what kind of trouble they're up to now.
Astonishing X-Men #54 - Susan Hatchi reveals her connection to the X-Men, and why she’s so intent on their destruction. How long can the X-Men survive in her prison, even without the nanobombs circulating through their bloodstream?
Again, no idea what's going on, but I've been enjoying the ride so far.
Ghost #0 - Former journalist Vaughn Barnes has been reduced to moonlighting as cameraman for the shoddy paranormal-investigation cable TV show Phantom Finders. But when a curious device summons the spectre of a beautiful, translucent woman, Vaughn is plunged into a mystery of criminal intrigue that spans two worlds!
I don't know if this is just a reprint of what was in Dark Horse Presents, or not. I assume there will be added material as I think those are only 6-page back ups.

I quite enjoyed the Spider-Men crossover, and was only disappointed that they didn't get to interact more than they did. I want more!

Date: 16 Jun 2012 08:51 (UTC)I'm tearing through The Vor Game at a great rate. Want to find out if the library lends e-readers, and if so whether I can load ebooks I already have onto one, or not. Hmm. In any case I'm enjoying reading them on my laptop.
ETA: Ooh, I like the new captcha system. (Was logged out so it captcha'd me. It asks a simple question that can be read out by a screenreader (eg "What is eighty two thousand eight hundred and ninety two as a number?"), instead of making you read a wiggly graphic.)

I like it too. Way easier.
